About us
The founders of Pyro Science comprise scientists and engineers originating from leading sensor research groups at the MPI for Marine Microbiology (Bremen, Germany), University of Copenhagen (Denmark), and the Technical University of Graz (Austria). During the last 15 years, these research groups have been pioneers in developing new sensor techniques with optical measurement principles. Based on this knowledge, Pyro Science offers innovative sensor concepts with the aim to provide high performance for affordable prices. The staff of Pyro Science has a deep background in chemistry, life sciences, physics and electrical engineering. Therefore, we can offer in-depths support even for very special application demands.
Pyro Science was founded in Denmark in 1998. During the first
years, Pyro Science developed and marketed mainly automized micromanipulator
setups intended for microsensor measurements. In 2009 the company was relocated
from Denmark to Aachen in Germany. In the following years the product range was
extended with several innovative optical oxygen meters and a broad range
of optical oxygen sensors based on the unique REDFLASH
technology. Since then, we have provided thousands of optical oxygen meters
and tenthousands of optical oxygen sensors to the worldwide research and
industrial community.
